All library books were due back on Friday, June 7.
If you forgot to send them back, please do so on Monday. We are continuing to work on our animal research in science. This past week, the students were using books to research their animals and began writing up their research findings. Next week, they will continue to write up their research finding an use videos to discover what they can do to help their animal. We will begin to talk about the final report and what types of presentations interest the students. In Math, we looked at different strategies for adding and subtracting. We created a strategies booklet that will allow students to review what strategies they can use when problem solving for addition or subtraction. Strategies include drawing a picture, using a number line, counting on fingers, using tally marks and more. We will continue to explore word problems using the different strategies that we learned about.
